Property Management Program

Program Overview: This training program is an opportunity for students to learn the important skills needed for entry level professional property management positions in the affordable housing industry. Topics include management operations, resident relations, and fair housing laws. This hybrid course includes in-person, online, and site visit opportunities. Students enrolled in this course are qualified to earn certificates in Mental Health First Aid, Naloxone Administration, CPR/AED, and Customer Service and Fair Housing skills badges.

What you get from this program

Property Management students will obtain the skills needed to step into an entry level property management position. This includes learning the basics of professional property management, resident relations, management operations, as well as understanding market data analysis in order to recognize trends in the housing industry. Graduates will have the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds that occupy residential housing properties in the Bay Area, as well as examine various property management careers and chart their own prospective career paths.

Entry Requirements

Must attend JobTrain’s information orientation and take the WONDERLIC assessment. Must have basic 7th-grade math and reading skills. Graduates may be subject to full seven year felony and misdemeanor background check by any potential employer.

  • Must be eligible to work in the USA
  • HS Diploma / Equivalent (HSE/GED) US ONLY

During Program 

Students must attend all classes with at least 95% attendance record. Students need to keep up with class instruction and demonstrate understanding of materials.
